English Placement

There are various levels of English Placement.  Placement is made with two scores - Sentence Skills (English grammar) & Reading (comprehension).

If you placed into ABE (Adult Basic Education) in English, reading, or math you will need to go to the testing center to take the CASAS test & then get further instruction on how to register.

IF you did not place into ABE, then you have placed somewhere between ENGL 090 and ENGL 101.  You will need to take the courses in progression until you complete ENGL 101.  There are ways to "skip ahead" but you will need to talk to your English instructor to find out how.

If you placed directly into ENGL 101 you do not have any pre-college English classes to take.  Every degree requires completion of ENGL 101.
